Executive Leadership
GearSteady Garage is led by two owners/managing partners: Trent Van Emon, serves as the full-time operator, and Kyle Allen, an active-duty military officer transitioning post-retirement. Together, they bring deep experience in operations, finance, leadership, and team development—skills that form the foundation of scalable, systems-driven businesses.
We approach the automotive repair business business without legacy assumptions, allowing us to adopt best practices from high-performing industries and previous experiences to focus intensely on customer experience, technician satisfaction, and operational discipline. Our commitment is to build a performance culture rooted in transparent and clear processes, data-informed decisions, and long-term alignment with both our employees and our customers.
We are committed to hands-on leadership and expect to grow to 10 locations by Year 3, and 20–25 by Year 5, building durable value and long-term freedom through entrepreneurship.

Throughout his career, Trent has successfully led complex business transformations and growth initiatives. One of his notable achievements includes leading the turnaround of a $100M+ business following acquisition, where he restructured the organization and revamped key business lines.
Through these efforts, he helped increase EBITDA by more than $5M, demonstrating his ability to drive operational improvements and deliver measurable financial results.
